Intermediate Composition

This class was really rewarding, and definitely helped me improve my writing abilities. My professor awarded really insightful feedback, and so did my classmates. I took this class in the fall semester of 2016. I recieved an A in the course. All of the parameters, and papers that I wrote can be found below along with a brief explanation of the assignment.
The learning goals of this class were to improve rhetorical and revisional writing, research methods, grammar, and citations/source collection.

Assignment 1: Validating a Volatile Confidence with Vicarious Vocals

This work is a narrative about one of my literacies: music. This is why the picture at the top of this page depicts sound waves. It needed to be 5-7 pages long not including the works cited page. Since it was the first paper that I wrote for this class, the style that I developed to draft my other papers is not present.

Assignment 3: Test of the Teeth: Assimilating into a Dentist's Office

This assignment was by far the most extensive, and required primary research to be done outside of the classroom. It also was given a longer page requirement, at 7-10 pages. Because this paper was intended to mimick professional research, a proposal was also submitted. I chose a dentists office to research, and also tied in some shadowing experiences for my future occupation.

Assignment 2: Exploring Oceanic Pollution Through Several Different Genres

This essay focused on three different kinds of sources. In the parameters, it is mentioned that three sources must be turned in prior to the first draft of the paper. I completed this, but did not include it because the sources I used in my final papers are the same. This essay needed to be 5-7 pages long.

Assignment 4: The Importance of Improvement

This paper was written mostly in class, and was given a significantly shorter time frame for completion. It was also given a shorter length requirement, at 3-4 pages. That is why there are fewer parts of the work to reference. Also, because it was our last paper, there was no time allocated to revise it, which is why the "Revised Edition" button is missing.
